A friend of mine in West Kansas operates a whitetail outfitting operation. Due to economic hardships he has had 9 hunters cancel for upcoming season. Seven of these spots are for rifle hunters and two archery. The application period for tags is April 1-31. The hunt is advertised on the web site for $4500 but I feel as if that is negotiable due to the time crunch. The archery season generally runs from October 1 - November 25ish and gun season is the Wednesday after Thanksgiving and runs for 12 days.
