Went out to a pond one of my friends showed me who has some muskrat traps there and seen these bad boys. Counted at least 7 different species if not more! I'm excited to see what duck season brings! Pics aren't the best Hollywoods!

I don't take pictures of a lot of Mallards but this drake caught my eye. Can't say for sure but it looks an awful lot like this guy escaped the outer edge of someones pattern.... ;) Sure a LOT of colored up drakes for this early. I would say 90% of the drakes I saw today where almost in full...

Saw over a hundred of these white-cheeked (Bahamian) pintail, a few black-necked stilts and a ruddy duck in St. Maarten.

Found this guy a couple days ago but finally got a day with a little sun. This is one of the best "Storm Wigeon" I seen yet alone got a picture of. As a reference. Here is a typical American Wigeon.

My son and I were knocking around in the pole barn yesterday afternoon when he spotted this brown bat that was roosted on one of the rafters. Now knowing that these things don't exactly make a habit of presenting themselves for photo sessions i sent the boy into the house to grab my camera. Now...
they were about at the end of my zoom so it is not the best picture I have ever taken,but still thought it was kind of cool.
On a recent trip to Baltimore and DC I took these pix This is at the inner harbor in Baltimore. Looks like mom took a nap and left dad in charge of the young'uns. Don't think he is really into the kids.
